Ladies who have rediscovered sewing in order to provide stylish and well-fitting clothes for their children. As our kids are growing up, they are not yet physically ready or mature enough for adult clothes, and thus adult patterns. So we are in search of fun, functional, and fashionable pre-teen patterns to share with you. Our primary goal is to assist in making sewing for tweens a fun experience for the sewer and the model!
Hi there,
ReplyDeleteI love your site and have found lots of great ideas here for my tween granddaughters. I just finished a Primrose dress, with the oldest helping out, as her graduation from 6th grade dress, and she is thrilled.
I'd like to do some Skinny Jeans for her and her 10 year old sister, and wonder if you have a suggestion for a pattern. I have the Peek a Boo pattern, and have made it twice in smaller sizes, but to be honest I don't love it and since 12 is the top of its range, am hesitant that it would really fit the older girls well. I'm a five hour drive away from them, so like things to be reliable without too much tweaking.
Thanks!
Joan
I would recommend the Burdastyle #149. It is a great skinny jean with a functioning fly zipper. I know it gets really hard to find pants past size 12 and then I think you may need to start looking at women's sizes. But Burdastyle.com does have a few.
