Celebratory Guest Post--Amy From Sews N Bows

Happy blog anniversary to Sew Cool For The Tween Scene! It's been a good year too; I've found a lot of good blogs, patterns, and information here. Today, I'm here to tell you about my favorite pattern: Big Girl Briefs from Serger Pepper.
Big Girl Briefs pattern from Serger Pepper
Big Girl Briefs have 2 rise options, & banded or elastic waist & leg openings. Sized 3-14, with nested printing. I shifted the seam to the side for this pair, in order to get the cool Rock & Republic design on there. So these undies look more like traditional panties than the original pattern.  This was the pattern that got me really comfortable with underwear sewing. My first pairs weren't as pretty, but now that I'm not afraid of any of the techniques, I don't feel I need any other patterns. I've made dozens of Big Girl Briefs variations! Rock & Republic Big Girl Briefs by SewsNBows

  1. Those turned out really nice. I have had a couple underwear patterns set aside for my grandsons. I need to remember to remind my DIL to save old tshirts so we can upcycle them in to fun undies for the boys.
